What is TAEF Fellows Program?
The Tunisian American Enterprise Fund (TAEF) Fellows is a unique internship program launched in 2017 specifically for students interested in supporting SME (small and medium enterprises) growth in Tunisia. It is designed to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs and business people while providing talented interns to TAEF investees to work on pre-selected, intensive projects.
Am I eligible?
The following are the eligibility requirements:
  • At least 18 years old
  • A student studying for his bachelor or for his master degree
  • Open to Tunisian and non-Tunisian students
  • Open to students from all universities in Tunisia
How do I apply?
For students interested in an internship for End of Studies Project (PFE)
  • Please send your application and documents before November 30th 2017
  • Complete the entire application form and be as precise as possible in your answers
  • Join these documents to your application: Most recent grade report, Cover letter, Résumé, Copy of national ID

For students interested in a summer internship
  • Please send your application and documents before May 15th, 2018
  • Complete the entire application form and be as precise as possible in your answers
  • Join these documents to your application: Most recent grade report, Cover letter, Résumé, Copy of national ID

For students interested in other internships throughout the year
  • Please send your application and documents
  • Complete the entire application form and be as precise as possible in your answers
  • Join these documents to your application: Most recent grade report, Cover letter, Résumé, Copy of national ID
When do I apply?
For students interested in an internship for End of Studies Project (PFE) : Before November 30th 2017
For students interested in a summer internship : Before May 15th, 2018
For students interested in other internships throughout the year : No deadline
How do I get notified that I have been selected?
  • Selected candidates will be notified by email.
  • Scheduling of interview dates will follow, also by email.
    • First round interviews by phone.
    • Second round interviews will be in person with TAEF and the selected company.
What happens next?
When does the Fellows Program start and end?
Will I work on a specific project?
Each Fellow will be assigned to a specific project in a selected company and will report to a manager there.
Will I get paid for the internship period?
Yes. TAEF will pay each Fellow a stipend of 400 TND per month.
Will I need to write a report after my internship?
Yes. Fellows will be required to write a brief report on the experience, on what you have learned and on your contribution in the company during your internship.
Do I have a chance to get hired later by the company?
It is possible that companies may want to offer employment to Fellows.
when will the third Fellows Program be launched?
We will post all information about our Fellows Program on our website, on social networks and at selected schools.
If this program is successful, we may expand the Fellows program to include additional students, companies, schools and possibly for periods of throughout the year (not only during the summer).
