Hello! I am Maha Khannoussi,

Hello i’m Maha Khannoussi, Senior Programs Officer at Flat6Labs Tunis.
I graduated from The Pioneer School of Ariana in 2014 with a Baccalaureate in Mathematics. I pursued a Bachelor Degree in Financial Management then a Master of Entreneurship at The Higher Institute of Commercial Studies – Carthage.

Ever since I started college, my goal was to be involved in entrepreneurial work, and I found that joining the ENACTUS Carthage team would be a perfect fit to my aspirations. In my time as an active member, i had the chance to work in several projects. I had the honor to be a member of the presentation team during the national competition in 2016, which was a challenging bit as we had to pitch our projects in front of a crowd of 400 people. As I became project manager, my goals took a whole new turn as I learned to manage and to coach a whole team, which mainly consists in offering guidance and direction to the members. I believe this experience taught me a lot about leadership and team work. I was fortunate to have taken on positions of responsibility in various other associations.

Within the Tunisian Model United Nations, I have been Secretary General for External Affairs and financing. My responsibility was not only to manage the partnerships established by the association and ensure their implementation but also to establish the fundraising policy and coordinate the public relations of the association as well as relations with the foreign United Nations Models. I also took part of other local MUN, Esprit Model United Nations and HEC Model United Nations as well. I joined Carthage Information Technology by taking part in the organization of training courses and conferences such as the conference organized during the 9th ICT4ALL global event in Hammamet in November 2015.

I also participated in Open Startup Tunisia, a Startup Competition in partnership with Columbia Engineering and Business School to support Tunisian youth eager to open up to the world and thrive. It brings together students from different disciplines, across universities and regions and boosts their innovation and team work skills to solve global problems. My team and i made it to the 3rd place of the final competition.
Then, i joined the OC Team as program coordinator to work on scaling the program though designing and implementing OSTx, a competition in partnership with Columbia University (New York) that brings together the highest potential, cross-disciplinary students from the same campus : Carthage, Manouba and El Manar Universtity.

I’m still evolving in the Tunisian entrepreneurship ecosystem, part of Flat6Labs Tunis Team, the first accelerator in the MENA region, a startup seed program, and an early stage fund aiming to help accelerate the growth of Tunisian startups and provide a steady pipeline to the rapidly growing Tunisian venture capital industry.
Apart from entrepreneurship, i’m really passionate about sports, i’m fond of nature and i love running and doing trails.
