Hello! I am Achref Azzabi,

Marketing Manager - Tunis Business School

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

I am a 23-year-old senior student currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with Marketing as a major and Information Technology as a minor. After graduating high school with a Baccalaureate in economics and management, I decided to take a leap and join the fairly new and upcoming Tunis Business School. As the first member of my family to have the chance to pursue higher education, I knew I had the moral responsibility to make the most out of the opportunity that my parents worked hard to provide me with. I have always been fascinated with the “Crazy ones” as the famous Rob Siltanen’s poem depicted them, Innovators such as Elon Musk, Steve jobs and Bill Gates who revolutionized their perspective fields and worked hard to bring a positive change to the world. During my 4 years in TBS, I aspired to make own path and prove to myself that I too can make a difference through the passion for both art and innovation.

Instead of joining to incredible mosaic of clubs and organizations in my college. I identified a lack of a creative outlet for students to experiment with literature and poetry. By the end of my first year I managed to co-found TBS’s first Book club. We organized book reviews and giveaways, poetry competitions and worked to support young writers and poets by providing editing and online publishing services. My work was cut short when I was accepted into the prestigious Thomas Jefferson Scholarship program. During my exchange year in North Central College in the state of Illinois, I was fortunate to find a wide array of opportunities to grow out of my comfort zone. I joined the American Marketing Association, International club and Muslim student Association, took a marketing Internship in a small business for 3 months, and had the chance to participate in the biggest United Nations Model in the world, leaving the U.N headquarters with the honorable delegation award.

Once back in Tunis, I joined forces with other students and my inspiring professor Imen Ameur and relaunched Innovation Labs. Innovation labs is a pre-incubator and organization that aims to train students in disruptive technologies, with the goal of empowering them to start their own projects and be at the forefront of the digital transformation. We collaborated throughout the year to organize Innovation Days, a 3-day conference featuring the leading technology experts from MIT, Hult business school, and Harvard University side by side with business leaders and innovators. The chance to work closely with such professionals ignited my old passion for technology and my deep desire to know more. I had the chance to fulfill that desire by working for Clevory training as a Marketing Manager, where not only did I get the chance to design and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy, but to participate in internationally recognized trainings and certifications.

As for now, I have joined eXo Platform, the leading open-source provider of innovative collaboration and communication solutions, for my senior project (PFE). An opportunity that I was only able to find through TAEF. My work involves disruptive technologies such as work digitalization and Blockchain technology, a field I couldn’t be more passionate about.
