Master’s degree student at Grenoble Ecole de Management
My name is Lobna, and I am currently pursuing my master’s degree at Grenoble Ecole de Management. Originally from Tunisia, I completed my high school education within the Tunisian public system and chose to take the French baccalaureate exam as an independent candidate, which I passed successfully. This decision marked a pivotal moment in my life, leading me to the French “classes préparatoires aux grandes écoles”.
In France, I attended preparatory classes, where my interest in geopolitics flourished. This passion guided me to Grenoble Ecole de Management, known for its Programme Grande École, which uniquely integrates technology, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and geopolitics to develop managers adept at understanding and navigating societal transformations.
At Grenoble Ecole de Management, I became involved in the GEM ONU association, focusing on geopolitics, international relations, and diplomacy. My interest in finance and its role in development, particularly in African countries, grew during this time. To explore this further, I
undertook an internship in Financial Services Transformation at EY Tunis. This experience provided valuable insights into the Tunisian and African financial ecosystems and sparked my curiosity about startups and sustainable finance.
To deepen my understanding of sustainable finance, I then completed an internship at the JuST Institute. Following this, to further explore the world of startups, I applied for the TAEF program and was fortunate to secure an internship as a Venture Capital Investment Analyst Intern at Flat6Labs Tunis. This opportunity has been instrumental in bridging my experiences abroad with the Tunisian business ecosystem. My experience at Flat6Labs Tunis has clarified my career perspectives and allowed me to connect with remarkable individuals, broadening my horizons.
I am deeply grateful to TAEF and Flat6Labs for this opportunity and I highly recommend the program to anyone looking to explore the Tunisian business landscape and grow professionally. I look forward to continuing my journey and making a positive impact in the region.
