Hello! I am Nour Karoui,

Software Engineering Student - INSAT

I am Nour KAROUI, a software engineering student at the National Institute of Applied Science and Technology (INSAT) and an Entrepreneurial Enthusiast.

When I was younger, I never dreamt of pursuing a career in software engineering. But I do not regret following this path one bit. Because once you dig a little deeper into this field, you’ll acknowledge its incredibility.

Being a software engineer offers you the means to achieve anything you want and learn anything you desire.

I am currently involved in the web development field and I find it very interesting. However, I am starting to discover other fields as well, such as cloud computing, testing and deploying apps…

Beside my studies, I am an open-minded person and I excel in many other fields, such as video editing, which I did while freelancing on Fiverr. Furthermore, I had the chance to discover the robotics’ field through the robotics tournament with IEEE INSAT Robotics chapter.

Last year, I wanted to focus mostly on social entrepreneurial activities, which is the reason behind my enrollment in Enactus INSAT. It was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life since I got to meet hundreds of people from different fields and ages and learn a lot of new things. I also had the chance to speak in front of a large audience to pitch our ideas and visions.

As for last summer, I was an intern at Dabchy and it was a great opportunity provided by the TAEF fellows program. In fact, working at a startup was the best way to make my first steps in the professional world. I did my best, not only to improve my skills, but also to contribute to the development of this amazing company.
