Hello! I am Wassim Ben Chiekh,

Senior at Tunis Business School

“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”
Winston S. Churchill

Hello! My name is WASSIM BEN CHIEKH and I am currently a senior student at Tunis Business School (TBS) with a major in Finance and a minor in Information Technology.

During my third year in high school, I started to hear about TBS and I got passionate about the Business field, that’s when I set the goal of joining TBS after getting my baccalaureate diploma. In 2017 I achieved my goal; it was my first year at TBS and the plan was to work on my social and personal skills through joining the clubs based at TBS and participating in extracurricular activities while keeping my GPA as high as possible. During my first year at the school, I joined the R&D department of ATLAS CLUB TBS which was an experience that shaped my personality and allowed me to acquire a set of skills as we worked on several projects. I also participated in Hult Prize TBS 2018; even though we didn’t win, I still consider it as one of the best experiences I have ever had.

After a year of experience in social work, I decided that it was time for me to give back something to my small village, and so I joined ATAB which is an association of art and theater based in my village. Along with an amazing team of young people I participated in the organization the first-ever summer festival in my village. In addition to that, I am currently the treasurer of JCI Bennane.

Aside from the social work and to further invest in my technical skills I took part in a Forex trading training provided by FinLabs. I have also completed an online financial analysis training on the Udemy platform.

As for my professional career, I had a 2 months internship at CFE (Centre Financier aux Entrepreneurs) Tunisia as a part of the TAEF Fellow Program. Aside from that, I work as a translator at Fiverr which is a freelance platform.

Each of the experiences I had during the last 3 years allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and taught me how to deal with people, how to work within teams, and that if you want to go far in your career, you have to surround yourself with positive and hardworking people that will always push you to reach out to new levels.
