Hello, I am Yasmine Yazidi.

I recently graduated from Tunis Business School with a Bachelor’s degree in Science of Business Administration, specializing in Business Analytics with a minor in Information Technology. Throughout my academic journey, I discovered that data is most powerful when it is transformed into meaningful insights that drive strategic decisions. Reaching that decision-making phase often requires first going through the data modeling phase, which has always been my favorite part of what I have studied. Whether building predictive or explanatory models, that is what makes this field of expertise so fascinating to me.

Thinking about how these models could be applied to investment decision-making is what led me to intern with the Investment Team at F6 Ventures. During my internship, I gained firsthand exposure to venture capital. Working on startup screening, investment research, and investment memoranda allowed me to understand how investment decisions are made within VCs. I also realized that these decisions are not based entirely on heuristics. Rather, there are specific signals that make one startup stand out from the others in the eyes of venture capitalists. My end-of-studies project explored this exact question: understanding which resources enable startups to survive and scale in terms of revenue. These resources are the signals VCs rely on to make investment decisions.

Beyond academia and professional work, I am deeply interested in geopolitics, international relations, and economics. This passion has consistently led me to participate in conferences, panel discussions, MUNs, and debating competitions that explore these topics. I strongly believe that politics and economics are fundamentally interconnected and cannot be separated. Mastering one requires mastering the other! The answer to a political question can often be economic, and the answer to an economic question can be political. Once you begin exploring this liaison, it will be very challenging to stop asking questions!
