Software Engineering Student - INSAT
I am Alaa Triki, Software Engineering student at the National Institute of Applied Science and Technology (INSAT)
After getting my bachelor’s degree in 2016, I decided to pursuit my dream career and become a software engineer.During my years of studies at INSAT, I had the opportunity to work on multiple technical projects and join a variety of association where I got to forge my soft skills.
Doing community work for the past 3 years changed my life forever. Whether it was participating in a small beach cleanup campaign or organizing an international congress for over 1000 guests, I always made sure to have a positive impact on my surroundings besides gaining experience for myself. I’m currently an active member in IEEE INSAT Student Branch, JCI INSAT and INSAT Press.
I’m primarily an Android mobile developer:Actually, I enjoy making apps especially when it comes to hackathons. Along with my teammates, we have won several competitions such as Agil Mobile Apps Hackathon, STAR Assurances AI apps Hackathon, and GOT Mobile Hackathon by Junior Enterprise Tunisia.
Lately, I got into Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Becoming a Data Scientist – which is known to be “ the sexiest job in the 21st century “ – has become my new goal, so I spent the last year studying its core concepts and obtained several certifications by IBM and Coursera. I’m even planning to establish a Data Science association in the upcoming months in order to empower the culture of AI in Tunisia.
Recently, I got a Data Science internship at Logis through TAEF fellows program, and I am doing my best to improve my skills while contributing to the development of this amazing company.
