Hello! I am Chayma ben dhafer,

Software Engineering and Minoring in Data Science - (INSAT)

I am Chayma ben dhafer, a student at the National Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (INSAT), majoring in Software Engineering and minoring in data science.

After getting my bachelor’s degree in 2016, I had no idea about the university I wanted to join nor what I wanted to do. Then I heard about The Land of INSAT and fixed my goal to become an engineer.
After the first year, I became passionate about the IT world so I chose the field of software engineering. During the first 3 years at INSAT, I worked on several projects and participated in many competitions in the domain. Lately, My interest extended to new trends of technologies.
I participated in the AI HACK TUNISIA 2019, and I was impressed by the field of Artificial intelligence which made me choose the data science specialization.
I attended many online courses, also I didn’t stop learning during the Covid-19 quarantine period and I obtained several certifications by Coursera and deeplearning.ai.
Besides my engineering studies, I am very involved in community life. I joined many associations and organizations such as IEEE, Junior Enterprise INSAT, Jci Insat, etc.
I also participated in the organization of TEDxINSAT: “a bird in the hand…” which was a very successful event. My past 4 years at INSAT, have allowed me to grow up, to forge my personality and to gain both hard and soft skills.

I am now joining Onboard as an NLP engineer intern through the TAEF fellows program, a startup that is doing great and innovative work with a very beautiful mindset.
As for the TAEF program, it is a very good initiative and a very helpful aid for students and companies. I am very excited to be a part of it and start a new journey as a fellow.
