Financial engineering
Hello, I am Nesrine Amri. I am going to give you a glimpse of my journey so far.
When I first went to college, the High Commercial Studies Institute (IHEC Sfax), I had no idea what I wanted to do in the future. However, when I specialized in finance I realized I was passionate about this field. Slowly, I started wanting to dive deeper into the world of stocks, and finance markets.
As a result, I decided to continue my master’s degree in financial engineering. On top of that, I joined a wonderful organization called AIESEC which taught me valuable skills such as decision-making, self-confidence, public speaking, and self-awareness. I also got the chance to meet many people who shared their experiences and we got to learn from each other’s mistakes. So this experience enabled me to have faith in myself and my ambitions.
During the first year of my master’s degree, I wanted to try practical experience in an actual company to enhance my skills and see the wider market’s bigger picture. Thanks to the TAEF fellowship program, I got the chance to make that happen. I got accepted as an intern for Optimalogistic. I found myself in a supportive environment where everyone helped each other. Additionally, I could work on financial reports and come up with solutions and analyses, which made me fall in love even more with my field and boost my motivation to keep going forward.
Judging from my experience, I sincerely encourage every enthusiastic student out there to try and get out of their comfort zone and go for this experience.
I am currently working as a financial assistant in Tunisia and I am doing volunteer projects as a UX Designer
